LONDON.- This January over 100 leading Modern British and contemporary art galleries will be brought together for the 22nd edition of London Art Fair – the UK’s largest Modern British and Contemporary art fair – at the Business Design Centre, Islington.

Every year, 22,000 visitors enjoy the work of over 1,000 leading artists ranging from Modern British masters to the most recent contemporary talent. Galleries are chosen by a selection committee and include major UK dealers such as Richard Green, Alan Cristea, FAS and Jonathan Clark Fine Art, as well as younger contemporary spaces.

Situated alongside the galleries in the main fair are two curated sections focusing on younger galleries, new work and contemporary photography: Art Projects and Photo50.

Art Projects
This year Art Projects expands into a new space with 25 projects featuring emerging artists and new work. Collectors will find solo and group displays and large scale installations from an exciting forum of international galleries including Foley Gallery (New York), Gallery Baer (Dresden) and Galerie f5,6 (Munich) as well as Bearspace, Charlie Smith and Sumarria Lunn from London.

Photo50
In its 4th year, Photo50 is a showcase for contemporary photography with artists selected by a distinguished panel including Anita Zabludowicz (collector), David Campany (writer and lecturer on the history and theory of photography) and a team from Goldsmith's MFA curating program. Fifty works will be shown and the members of the panel will champion the artists they have nominated. The Fair includes the highest-quality paintings, sculptures, drawings, installations, photographs, video and editioned prints and multiples.

Long recognized for its quality and welcoming atmosphere, London Art Fair aims to uphold a unique and supportive approach to collecting, providing an environment in which visitors can understand the historical importance, value and unique qualities of works from across the spectrum of the art market.
