Artist Tong Hongsheng's Work in the China Pavillion at the LA Art Show Historic & Traditional Section.
LOS ANGELES, CA.- The West Coast’s largest and most comprehensive art fair returns to the Los Angeles Convention Center, and moves to the more spacious South Hall, this January 2013. Newly acquired by the Palm Beach Show Group (PBSG), the 2013 LA Art Show will build upon the concept of two distinct shows under one roof introduced at the 2012 event. A complete art experience, the 2013 fair will showcase four separate sections of work: The Modern & Contemporary Section, The Historic & Traditional Section, The Vintage Poster Section and The IFPDA Los Angeles Print Fair.

More than 50,000 visitors attended 2012 Show, which was described by NBC, Los Angeles, as an art fair that “brims with top-level talent.” The 2013 event will feature top galleries and expanded programming, including lectures, tours, special exhibits, and must-attend after parties beginning with a benefit Opening Night Premiere Party on January 23.

The Los Angeles Art Show kicked-off with a benefit in support of the Art of Elysium & The J.Paul Getty Museum’s education department. More than 5,000 VIPS attended the opening which attracted numerous celebrities, including: James Franco, David Arquette, Rose McGowan, Mena Suvari, Angus T. Jones (Two and a Half Men), C.S. Lee (Dexter), Brandon Boyd (Incubus), Brandi Glanville (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), Jim O'Heir (Parks & Recreation), Josiah Rea, Kim Coates (Sons of Anarchy), Kristi Lauren (I Hate My Teenage Daughter), Laurie Holden (The Walking Dead), Lisa Edelstein (House), Megyn Price (Rules of Engagement), MOBY (Singer) Omar Miller (CSI: Miami), Penny Davidi (The Next Food Network Star), Peter Mark Richman (Beverly Hills 90210), Raphael Sharge (Once Upon a Time), Raven-Symone (That’s So Raven), Richard Chamberlin, Sam Trammell (True Blood), Taylor Treadwell (Knight and Day), Brandi Glanville & Cheech Marin.

The LA Art Show is strategically located at the city’s epicenter where the worlds of music, sports, art and theater converge at the highest level. The continued success and momentum of the LAAS over the last 18 years has helped secure Los Angeles’ position as a world-class art destination. The fair is one of the only events on the West Coast that is considered an international destination for the art-buying public and its popularity reconfirms the ambitions and commitment of LA’s homegrown collectors.

View works by top level artists including: Damien Hirst, David Bailey, Jordi Alcaraz, Karel Appel, Norman Bluhm, Hans Burkhardt, George Condo, Clarie Falkenstein, Patrick Graham, George Herms, Pablo Picasso, Ruth Weisberg, Jerome Witkin, Francisco Zuniga, Jamie Reid, Ed Ruscha, Armando Romero, David Hockney, Roy Lichtenstein, Arshile Gorky, Jim Dine, Andy Warhol, Fernando Botero, Pissaro and others

The show has spawned numerous off-site events, gallery openings, and parties to engage attendees and grow the festive atmosphere surrounding Arts Month each year in Los Angeles.
